do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

THANKS
Dear Sp4 Elwood Chaney,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. My husband was born on your birthday. My mom also passed on this day. Say hi to them in heaven, they are Michael and Rose. This is the month that we remember all those who have passed-on. We remember you. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My best freind's Brother
We were growing up together. John, Elwood's brother, was my best friend. Elwood, John and myself rasied homing pigeons. They tried to draft Elwood while he was still in High School. His Mother had to straighten it out to let him graduate. He was then drafted, he never had a chance to breath, the Army grabed him. He died in Veit Nam in Oct 1967. He was a good guy. I think about Junior every day.
