30 Years Gone

I was 3 1/2 years old and my sister was 3 months old when my father was killed. I am now 33 and still mourn the loss of my father.

His death robbed so many people of the gift of his presence. I am only one of many family members who longs for his life.

There were so many instances growing up where I wished for his presence. I wish I could have known him, that he could see who I have become and helped me as I have made my way through life.

The terrible loss of his life has profoundly affected my view of the world and serves as a constant reminder to me of the futility and idiocy of war.
May it one day end.

I miss you, Daddy.

Memories of Bill and his new daughter

I served with Bill as a member of Advisory Team 88. I remember our talks where he reminisced about working on a freighter and the experiences he had. Bill has a daughter who was born shortly before Bill's death and I think about her often because I don't believe that Bill ever got the chance to see her. I would be happy to talk with folks about Bill. I am Ed Blankenhagen, edb@onlc, 266 Watch Hill Road, Exton, PA 19341-2188. Work phone is 302 658 3018, x115 and home is 610 594 1812. Bill, I think about you often and how you had to return to RVN because of your terrible stateside assignment. With fond memories, ed
