To the Great Uncle I never knew

I didn't know you but I have heard so much about you. My Grand Dad hates talking about the war but he talks about you a lot. I have seen pictures of you and all of your medals. You were a great part of our family, the part I dearly miss. You have inspired me to become a Marine one day and hope to be just like you. You are always in our hearts and souls. Rest in peace Uncle Carl. Your loving great-nephew, Isaac
