Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Nicholas Frank Cerrato, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

A Friend

Nick, I looked in our Ft. Dix year book the other day, hard to believe that it has been 38 years. I remember when I ran into you out in the bush, you told me how scared you were and how horrible it was to be there. I can't tell you how saddened I was when I came home and visited the Wall and found you there. I think of you and the others often and wonder if you are at peace now. I hope that where ever you are you don't ever have to be affraid again. Take care my friend.
