Thinking Of You Cousin

I will always remember you when the name of the country where you died. But more importantly, I will remember you died for our country, the United States of America.
I was very little the last time I saw you. And I will always remember your last words to me as I asked you why are you wearing that, "I am wearing this (your uniform) because I have to go to work." And I will never forget this. Thank you, Cousin, for all the work you have done for our country. And I will always remember, dad, your uncle Elias say he was proud of you.

"We, Sierra's have one in the Air Force (Uncle Ralph Sierra, one in the Marines (Uncle Jessie Sierra) and now 2 in the Army (dad and Ignacio . Thank you, Primo.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Ignacio Alvarez Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
