NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

Casper the friendly medic

I know there are no painful memories where you now exist.
Sometimes I wish I were there with you and all the "gang".
Remember that first evening for you in the field and there
was a cry "medic". Everyone else jumped into the bunker
but we grabbed our aidbags and ran toward the screams as
fast as we could. We lost both those guys that evening,
there was NO saving them. It was your first to respond to
that dreaded cry, but I had been living with it for sometime.
I was supposed to train you but I was wounded and sent back
to the World a couple weeks later. You died a couple weeks later. REST IN PEACE ANGEL OF MERCY.
