Peace with Honor

Juan is buried at Cementerio Trujillo, San German, San German Municipality, Puerto Rico, USA.

Juan Casiano was a Private First Class in the United States Army. He served in the 1st Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry, B Company during the Vietnam War. He was drafted by the Selective Service System and was killed in action during a battle in the City of Prek Klok, Province of Tay Ninh. He is honored in Panel 15e, Line 114 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. He started his tour in Vietnam on 2/8/1967 and died on 2/28/1967 from multiple fragmentation wounds. He was only 19 years old. Juan was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medals.

Juan, you were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Juan.

Juan Casiano perteneció a la 1era. División de Infantería, 1er. Batallón, 16ava.Infantería de la Compañía B del Ejército de los Estados Unidos durante la Guerra de Vietnam.

Fue enviado a Vietnam bajo el Servicio Militar Obligatorio, donde fue muerto en acción durante una batalla en la ciudad de Prek Klok, Provincia de Tay Ninh de Vietnam. Su nombre está inscrito en el Panel 15e, línea 114 del Monumento a los Veteranos de Vietnam.
