honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from fellow soldier Jerry Schleining is poignant. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

My Dearest Uncle Jerald

I never before thought they would put the men we lost in the Vietnam War. I'm very proud of this recognition. I remember you so well. Like it was yesterday, your favorite nephew. I'm 62 now. Your more deeper in my heart now, than the day you were taken from us. I pray that God has you well taken care of you a D we get to meet again someday. You were my friend. My uncle with the future so bright. I love you. Your favorite nephew Richard Cary Provan, son to Evelyn Carter Provan Bunch.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Mark Jerald Carter, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
