THE WALL OF FACES

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Thank you Captain Abene for fighting for America.
Thank you once again for being brave.
I found out your family was proud of you.

On this your angel day I want you to know that you are a blessing to a countless number of people past, present, and future. And through your selfless service and courageous deeds your efforts have and will have an influence on many generations. And with all the good you did and the ultimate sacrifice you paid you truly are OUR HERO and we thank God that you lived.

FREEDOM

It is the soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us the freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us Freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us the Freedom to demonstrate

It is the soldier, who serves beneath the Flag,
Who salutes the Flag,

Whose coffin is draped by the Flag,
Who allows the protestor to burn the Flag,

It is the soldier, not the politician,
Who has given his blood, his body, his life,
Who has given us these FREEDOMS!

I remember my dad as a loving father and very dedicated to the Marine Corp.I remember him getting haircuts every week if not more then that ..and how he polished his shoes till you could see your face.He was a great bowler..300 to be exact,loved to dance and exercised allot!I miss him very much but I am also very proud of how he served his country and giving of his life for us all!!!!

DEAR CAPT. ABENE, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU! THE MOMENTS WE SHARED JUST MOMENTS BEFORE YOUR UNTIMELY DEATH, WILL BE CARRIED WITH ME FOREVER! THANK YOU FOR YOUR COURAGE AND PATRIOTISM, AND FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY, AND FOR YOUR SUPREME SACRIFICE FOR ALL. SEMPER FI, A FELLOW MARINE FROM FLC, DANANG
