THANK YOU
Dear Lt James Carter,
Thank you for your service as a Basic Infantry Officer. Your 75th birthday just passed. Happy Birthday. Today is actually Columbus Day, and we remember those of you who served. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 2LT James Douglas Carter Jr, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

My father is Kenneth Gill and my mother is Jane Eiland. My Dad played football for Texas Tech from 1961-1965. Jimmy was my dad's big brother in Pi Kappa Alpha. I was born on September 22, 1970. My parents named me James Gill and called me Jimmy. They have told me stories my whole life of Jimmy and Janice. I am trying to reach Scott and Janice for my parents. I am very proud of my name and to be associated with a hero. My email is [email protected]
