A Great Soldier
You were great soldier and an honorable man. You were my Medic. I was not there when the helicopter was shot down in Tuy Hoa Province and was heartbroken when I found out you and four others from B Company perished. Without a doubt you were held in high regard by all members of the platoon. You remain in my thoughts to this day.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
