Ground Casualty

On May 16, 1968 at 2200 hours, BM2 Kenneth A. Carroll fell into the water between pontoons alongside the USS Tom Green County. An extensive search of the area failed to locate him, and the Navyman was declared officially missing. The body was found two days later floating in the river near the Dong Tam navy base. Remembering An American Hero

Dear BM2 Kenneth Autry Carroll, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Help Us Locate Kenneths Kids For His Mother June R. Carroll...Please!

I am Kenneth Autry Carrolls neice & we are trying to locate his two kids. There grandmother (Kenneths Mother) has been trying to get in touch with them for years now, she is 93 years old and is sick and would like to have closer that they are okay and just to hear from them. Due to family issues there mother had them to stop talking to this side of the family for whatever reason. And now that she is sick she just wants to know if they knew about her. If anyone has any info or could give us any info or talks to them please let us know. You can email me at [email protected]
