NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

Thank you

My name is Sarah and I am a senior in high school from Central Illinois. I am doing an assignment for one of my classes posting remembrances for those that lost their lives during the Vietnam War. You do not know me but I want you to know that I consider you a hero. I believe you are a hero because you stood up for your country when the enemy tried to tear it apart. You stood up for the men and women that couldn’t stand up next to you. You stood up for the many Americans that feel lucky to live in the USA. Thank you for standing up for me, even though you didn’t know I would be here. Thank you for everything you have ever done in you line of duty. You will always be remembered as a hero. Thanks again, Sarah
