Jesse Dale Carpenter

Jesse Dale Carpenter was my uncle, my mother's brother. I was only 6 years old when he died, but I do remember him. Jesse was one of 15 children who were born to Coy and Edith Carpenter. Only 13 lived to adulthood. Jesse has a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephew's, who all love and miss him very much. Jesse had red hair and a fun, quirky personality. He liked being with his friends and family, especially his brothers. All 7 Carpenter brothers served in the military. I look forward to hearing from anyone who knew my Uncle Jesse.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Jesse Dale Carpenter, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
