Peace with Honor

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Donald.

THANK YOU

Dear PFC Donald Carlson,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Your 71st birthday is on the same day as another 1st Cav infantryman. Happy Birthday. Say hi to Mike in heaven. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

A courageous and honorable young soldier.

I remember Donald from my days in Delta Co. Our paths crossed for a short while in the field, and we had conversations in which he professed a dedication to God. He seemed like a gentle soul, and he was a courageous and honorable soldier. He is not forgotten.

Donald was my cousin

He was also my best friend. I mourn for him like it was yesterday. He was a religious young man who believed that God was with him. I went to boot camp four days after his funeral. That made quite an impression on me.
