Thanks for your sacrifice.

We went to the same high school, and our parents have been friends over the years. Every year on Memorial Day, you and the other soldiers who gave your lives are honored at a ceremony at the park in Danville. Your mom comes there and honors you, too. You'll never be forgotten, and you did not die in vain. Thank you for fighting for freedom.

You will never be forgotten

Dear David,

For the Gridley High School Posting Project, I would like to thank you for all your devotion to our country. The sacrifices you made to fight for our freedoms and beliefs are heroic. Knowing that you could lose you life had to be a hard concept to comprehend but a choice that had to be made. Your loyalty and bravery will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered as a hero.

Sincerely,
Ashley Kiefer
