United States Hero
I'm going to visit the wall on April 30th, and I wanted to find a great hero of the U.S. who gave his life in the war so that I could be free. I chose James , and I will pray for his family and friends often, especially on 4-5.

I'm the One Called "Doc..."
I'm the One Called "Doc…"
I shall not walk in your footsteps,
but I will walk by your side.
I shall not walk in your image,
I've earned my own title of pride.
We've answered the call together,
on sea and foreign land.
When the cry for help was given,
I've been there right at hand.
Whether I am on the ocean
or in the jungle wearing greens,
Giving aid to my fellow man,
be it Sailors or Marines.
So the next time you see a corpsman
and you think of calling him "squid",
Think of the job he's doing
as those before him did.
And if you ever have to go out there
and you life is on the block,
Look at the one right next to you…
I'm the one called "Doc".

My Brother, My hero
Jim,
You watched over me as I followed in your footsteps as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, going on to be a commissioned officer and leaving the Navy after 22 years. I was spared the sights and sounds on the battle fields. Thanks for standing watch over me shipmate during the Arab Oil Embargo in '74 when Nixon put us on alert, and during Desert Storm in 1990. You paid the ultimate sacrifice and one day we will meet again. All my love, your brother Anthony
