HOME TOWN FRIEND
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
I remember the day we went to the homecoming dance, "In Dreams" with Roy Orbison was playing and we started the dance that night to that song, I remember the times you and your brothers played at the dances in Sabinal, Texas...you were the best saxophone player, those were the good ole' days -- you would have enjoyed listening to Kenny G.
I WILL NEVER FORGET the day we buried you in Uvalde, Texas - the first soldier from our hometown killed in the war...you were too young.. you were just sleeping. Now I accept the fact that you are resting and at peace and I am proud our paths crossed and now that I have found you, I will come honor your ultimate sacrifice.
John, my husband is a VietNam veteran, and will one day be ready to make the pilgrimage to Washington, DC. and when he is we will both be there.
