My father’s faithful friend and my namesake
My father Captain Raymond H Clark departed this Earth on February 3, 2019. I, daughter Jamie, will always remember the stories I heard and the look in my Dad’s eyes as he spoke about his dear friend Major James H Allred. They trained together in flight school in San Marcus, TX and both served in Korea in 1952.
My father would say, “Jimmy was a true American war hero”.
It is a great honor to know I was named after such a courageous man.

Dear Dad,
Fifty five years ago today your medavac helicopter and our family’s dreams were shot down in the South China Sea. Vietnam...It was friendly fire and a military action not a war.
Today... I’m 67 years old and I still miss you. You were such a joy in my life! You cared about humanity, you believed in doing the right thing, setting a good example for all. You sacrificed the ultimate. It was what you were called do. I want to tell you that you were loved and respected by your colleagues, your friends and family. I continue striving to be that kind of person. I love your fun loving spirit, your tickles and your sparkling baby blues. Thanks for being being my Dad. Our Love is eternal.
