Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice

Paul, You probably wouldn't remember me, but you might remember my sister, Pam. We lived right across the street from you growing up. I was eight years old in 1967, when you died in Vietnam. I still remember when the police pulled up to your house that day. It has had a huge impact on my life. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to you, your family, and all the soldiers who fought for this country. Thank you and I hope you are at peace and surrounded by angels.

Dear PFC Paul Caramella,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. The day I did the research on you, it was your 50th anniversary in heaven. sigh. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Paul Doane Caramella, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
