Peace with Honor
Spec. 4/c U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Spec. Caraballo was killed in action by small arms fire on 3-5-1970 while serving as an Infantryman with Co. B of the 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Spec. Caraballo started his tour of Vietnam on 8-27-1969.
Spec. Caraballo is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Manuel Caraballo-Martinez of Yauco, Puerto, Rico.
Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Hector.
