THANKS
Dear PFC Keith Cantrell,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It is another autumn, and time has passed since this war. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

POSTED BY: Friend
In Honor of an American Hero
Yes, you grew up helping your family in the home. Taking the edge off of the fear of being alone, by being the man of the house. Being friends with the younger kids whether it was cool or not. Even making them feel special and sometimes helping the scared feel unafraid. Speaking to each one as they stepped on the bus for school and a well wish as they got off each afternoon. Making your classmates
laugh at your clowning around, your
schoolmates smile as you met in the
hall. Showing an older lady off the
curb and into the car, while loading
her groceries in the back floor board.
Keith Cantrell you made so many
richer for knowing you.
Then married and blessed your wife with love and then with a daughter.
One who has your eyes and smile.
You left many gifts for so many in the
way of friendships. Those of your
comrades in arms included. Those,
who like you, gave their time in
service to their country. Many like
you also, sadly, have given their lives
for this country. So that we may
enjoy the freedoms that you, and your
buddies,in your young lives, didn't get
the chance to enjoy.
So many in the Vietnam era come
home to not even a thank you. No
ticker tape parade. No
acknowledgement of all of your
sacrifices. Missing your friends, your
family, your life.
Although thank you wasn't said then, and it seems so small now. Not even nearly enough. How can we ever
repay you or any soldier that has
served. With just two words.
But still, I have to say ......THANK YOU

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Keith Noland Cantrell, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
