Memorial Day 2023

John, today in honor of Memorial Day my family visited the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's a long way from my hometown of La Habra, California, but I want to see the wall and find your name to honor your sacrifice for our country and our freedom. We were classmates at La Habra High and I remember and appreciate the fine young man and friend you were.

John Allman a funny nice guy

Hello John, I sat next to you in mixed chorus our sophomore year. You were always laughing and making funny jokes. I also remember you as thoughtful and kind. I was so sad and shocked to hear about your death in that dreadful war. It seemed surreal to read about losing a classmate in the La Habra Star. Hard to think of you not having a long and full life like most of your classmates. RIP Jeannine

God Bless you Jon, I remember you were quick with the jokes, you were one of many La Habran's who lost their lives serving our country. Your name is on a plaque at the American Legion Hall along with others who sacrificed their lives in our various conflicts. You are a hero, Jon!

Thank you, Jon

Jon, you were a good friend and neighbor growing up in La Habra. I think of you often and was able to find your name on the traveling wall when it came to our town. Thank you for your service--You paid the ultimate price and I honor your memory on this Memorial Day.
