Happy Memorial Day
Hey Rick, today is Memorial Day, there is special remembrance for those who died in service to our country.
I know what we went through together and the tragic circumstances of your death. Its funny, you didnt live to see how badly we were treated for years after coming home. Now they cant thank us enough, I'm a little bitter about it now, but better late than never I guess.

Happy Birthday
I never forget your birthday little brother. Today you would have turned 68, to me you'll always be the sweet 19 year old you were the last time we were together. Still miss you and think of you every day. RIP little brother.

Another Memorial Day Passes
Rick, another Memorial Day has passed. Its hard to believe that nearly 48 years have gone by. A day does not go by that thoughts of you do not pop into my head. We were so young back in those days, I look at pictures of myself and I can't imagine ever being that skinny. I look at your picture and it seems natural to see you that young, you never got the chance to age like the rest of us who made it home. You will always be 20 in my mind.
Semper Fi Brother, see you soon.

Sorry I haven't been around in a while.
It's been a few years Rick, sorry for the delay. I have been in touch with Joe Brown recently, as well as Lt Dear our Platoon Leader. You are not forgetton, not by your family and not by the men that you served with.
I E-mail with your sister Carol, but we have not gotten together since my visitto Mass. a few years ago.
