Thank You

Dear Ssgt James Callis,
I hope your photo gets placed here because this is a wall of faces and yours should be here. Thanks for being an Infantryman. As another summer comes to an end, it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My uncle

My Mother, Richie Callus Adams is his sister. I was almost two and mom was pregnant with my brother when he died. Although I never met him, he has always been apart of my life. Mom has always told us stories of their childhood and how their life was growing up. His picture has always been on display in our home. Mom will be 81 in June and she still speaks of him often. So to Uncle Harold we love you and remember you. To you and to all who have died serving our country Thank You for your service.

My dad

James Harold Callis was my dad. I never got to meet him, and he never met me. He was killed 6 months before I was born. I do have pictures of him, and my sisters and I also have letters he wrote my mom. everything I have ever heard about him was that he was a very upstanding gentleman.
I often wonder how my life would have been had he lived. I will be sending photos to be posted to this memorial.
thank you Mr. Rich Rezes for laying your wreath on my dads headstone. Many people volunteer and never remember the names of the veterans they lay wreaths for.
I love my dad and I miss him!
My mom never forgot him and never spoke negatively about him! That was a true love!!
