REMEMBRANCES

LEFT FOR WILLIAM FRANCIS CALLINAN
POSTED ON 10.9.2010

If I should die...remembrances for MAJ. William Francis CALLINAN, USA...who died for our country!!!!

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep. for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchace, may therein comfort you.

Remembering Major Wiliiam Francis Callinan US Army from Maine

Captain Bill Callinan and I served as US Army aviators at K-16, Seoul City Airport, from April 1960 to April 1961. I will always remember what he told me that he had told the Board of Officers, who had interviewed him for a Commission in the US Regular Army. Question: Captain Callinan, what is the most important thing in your life? Bill's immediate answer: Sir,The salvation of my immortal soul, is the most important thing in my life!
