My brother from another mother, Marshal

Marshal I am now 62 yrs old and have carried your memory in my mindheart ever since that awful morning when getting ready to leave for high school and saw your picture in the Charlotte Observer as killed in Vietnam. The shock was overwhelming that day and there have been many 'flash backs' to our childhood gowing up together in Wilmore. We were best friends and like brothers all through elementary school. Inseperable friends that were starting life with dreams and possibilities that we shared and looked forward to pursuing. I have tried to live my life in such a way that would honor your memory. We were so close in those most formidable years. You wereare my brother in mind, heart, and spirit. Like Eddie, I too have shed many a tear at times over these years at what couldshould have been. I love you brother and you have never been forgotten by your family (biological and adopted). Tearing up as I write this and just wanted to put in words the love I have for you until the day we meet again. We shared so many 'coming of age' events. Of all the friends I have been blessed with over all these years, none have been close to the friendship we shared. I trusted you more than anybody I have ever known and miss you to this day. Still best friends and God knows that I wish I could have been with you and maybe we could have watched each other's back as we did growing up together. Life has its many tragedies and that fateful day was one of my hardest in this life. It has always been a source of great thankfulness to know I had the privilege of calling you my best friend. RIP my brother. RIP

My Little Brother

I still miss you little brother, and I cry often when I think of you. I'm 62 years old now but it seems like yesterday that I still had my baby brother with me. Although you never met my wife, Toni, she always asks questions about you and reminds me when it's time to put flowers on yours, Mothers, Dads, and Lindas Markers. It's hard to go down to sunset and not be able to talk to my family thats buried there but someday I'll see you in glory.

Your big Brother,
EDDIE
