An highschool upper classman remembered
I had been home only a few months from my second tour in Vietnam when the word came that you had perished in the land I had left. There were so many of us, having spent our time, were coming home, carrying the scars that no one would ever see. And then we were to face the reality that one of our townsmen and upper classman was not going to join our ever enlarging group ,of young vets. I am still so sorry for your loss.

My Uncle Bill
I wish I could hear your voice again calling me 'worms'. I'll never forget the time we were cruising in your 66 Pontiac and the door flew open and you ripped my ass and Aunt Judy stuck up for me. I think about you often and even shed some tears. I remember your funeral with the 21 gun salute and to this day I can not go to funerals. Aunt Judy just passed away and I hope you are having a great reunion. I miss you Uncle Bill and I thank you for your service. Till we meet again, I love you!
