Semper Fi

I wore a POW bracelet ( LCPL TWILLINGER ) from ‘86 till until about 1995 when I gave the bracelet to a friend. Yesterday (7/4/2020) a fellow former US Marine partner of mine gave me Fredrick’s bracelet. It feels good to have one on my wrist again. It’s a great way, especially in today’s day and age to really put things in prospective. I will pass Fredricks bracelet on to my son here in a few years. We must not forget the sacrifice of our fallen troops. Semper Fi. -Rick Abend ( 1st Battalion 9th Marines 97-93). Semper Fi

We talked before you went on patrol...

My squad returned from a patrol. You were in the next squad to go out. I talked to you briefly before you left sharing with you what our squad experienced. I was back on patrol when I heard you did not return. L/Cpl. Landon, T. Hotel Co., 2nd Bn., 3rd Marines. WIA 23 JAN 68

I have a POW bracelet for Frederick John Burns

It is in excellent shape along with the original back story paper. I would be happy to mail it to anyone who would like it. I work at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA. It has been in a drawer for the 15 years I have been here and I'm sure longer than that. Please email me and I would be happy to mail it to someone who knew this brave young man. [email protected]
