The rememberance of an awesome soldier

I will always remember the hard dedication that you did. Even though, I was not born at the time, because of your hard work I was born into a safe country.

If I should die...remembrances for CAPT. John ABBOTT, USN....San Diego's highest-ranking Top Gun who went into harm's way...but did not return...HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

For CAPT. John Abbott, USN, who was all NAVY and nothin' but NAVY, and a San Diego Top Gun as well who served his country well but lost his life in doing so!

Goodbye, America's heroes, we have shamefully failed to stand by you, for all the wrong reasons which had tempted us aside! Now we must pay the price for letting those who survived down, as well knowing some who didn't have to die have died! We must honor them every day when we see their names upon the Wall! And from every corner of the land, they answered to the call! Every soldier, SAILOR, airman, and Marine and Coast Guardsman, too...they all gave their lives so we could live beneath the old RED, WHITE, AND BLUE. For those who've gone before, we say "WELL DONE! Be thou at peace!" We salute this fine Naval aviator from that Navy town San Diego, whose devotion to DUTY...whose devotion to HONOR...and ABOVE ALL!!!...whose devotion to GOD and our COUNTRY!...the land that he loved, as well as the sea...the Land of the Free and the home of the Brave..will NEVER...I say again, will NEVER be extinguished from our minds!!!!!!
