A Heartfelt Thanks...
Roger Vincent Paul Burke, you will always be a true hero because you answered freedom’s call. I can’t begin to imagine the hardships you endured or what it felt like to leave the ones you loved and cared about most. My heart goes out to all that knew and loved you. I am a student in Gridley involved in the Gridley High School Posting Project and want you to know that you will always be in my heart and will be remembered as a leader and an example for future generations. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jen Steffen

Your faithful twin brother Brian Burke now gone to the Lord
You are buried together in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
Brian never recovered from your loss, and you lived again through Brian,
who sacrificed much because of your loss.
Many remember you both for courage, and steadfast honor.
