Thank You
Dear Colonel Charles Burkart,
Thank you for your service as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Fixed Wing Pilot.) You are still MIA.
PLEASE COME HOME. YOU ARE MISSED.
It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Be at peace with the angels.

Always my hero
I have had Lt Col Burkart s POW bracelet since 1971. I actually had two and several years ago I returned the first one to his son. The other will be with me forever. Thank you for your service. You will never be forgotten.

Yet another bracelet
I wore mine throughout the 1960-70s. When my daughter visited the Vietnam Memorial, they could not give her any information. Tomor r ow, the bracelet will go to my grandaughter's AP US History, as they are studying that period in class. I'll attach the bio for her so she can share with the kids. And dearest family of Charlie, I am so sorry there was never anymore information. He's been in my heart for almost 50 years now.
