Park George Bunker

Park was my older brother, a role model, a leader, a gentle soul, who believed that the able should assist the weak or oppressed in the world. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado, ranked number one in Electrical Engineering. He was the youngest pilot to every be assigned responsibility for a B52 bomber. Even though he was married and had a young son, he volunteered for assignment to Vietnam and later volunteered for Loas. He communicated with the aircraft overhead, after his two seat spotter plane was shot down, indicating that he was critically wounded and that they should not try to land because the area was overrun with opposing forces. He gave his life for the cause of freedom...in Laos, in Vietnam, in USA...in the world.
