I went to the wall to touch your name.

Junior,
I met you many years ago. My dad, Robert Bugni, was a cousin of your dad. My maiden name is Bugni. I was in Washington D.C. this past Saturday, October 15, 2016, and went to the wall to touch your name and take a picture. When I met you years ago you and I were teenagers. Now I'm 69, and remember my mom telling me how Army officers came to where she was living in Ferndale, Michigan, to inform the family of your death. My parents were recently divorced and your family must have just moved. My mother was still Lillian Bugni at that time. She didn't know where your parents were. Junior, thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.
I'm so looking forward to meeting you again one fine day when I get to heaven.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Florian Anthony Bugni Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Never Forgotten

Tony, I still miss you and wonder if things would had turned out different if we had run away to Kentucky and gotten married when we were 16, like we wanted to. You are still in my heart.
