Thank You
Dear PFC James Buchy,
Thank you for your service as a Field Artillery Cannoneer. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Brother
Jimmy was my brother and there is still not a day that goes by that I don't think of him and remember our good times as kids growing up in St. Augustine before we moved to Orlando. Many, many heartfelt thanks from his family to Edward C Burke, Cpl, USMC (Ret) for getting Jimmy back his purple heart. It meant a lot to us.

Purple Heart awarded on October 7, 2014
HQ Marine Corps has acknowledged an error in that 4 of 7 Marines killed in a "misadventure" were awarded a Purple Heart and three, including PFC Buchy were not. Based on evidence supplied by myself on behalf of Together We Served/Marines, the error has been corrected and the Purple Heart added to his records effective on October 7, 2014.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC James Louis Buchy, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
