A soldier and a brother
Uncle Dale left this world shortly (21 days) after I arrived. Dale was the youngest of four brothers; Gary, Terry, Neal and Dale and all served in the four branches. I was raised listening to stories of Dale from my father and uncles and grandparents which inspired me to serve as well and carry on the tradition in our family of service to our country. I’ve met some of the men he served with and heard many stories. He will always be remembered. Semper Fi Uncle Dale, we all miss you

Memorial Day, May 25, 2020
Dear LT. Dale C. Allen, sir.
This year, as every year, our American Flag looks majestic as it snaps to attention in the breeze, as if to return the salute of all those who have served and who are serving. Two Red, White, and Blue Memorial Day wreats, one to the left and one to the right, remain there during this very special Memorial Day holiday.
Remembering you, those you served with who didn't make it home from the Vietnam War, and all who died defending this country.
With respect, sir.
Curt Carter

Remembering this Memorial Day, May 27, 2019
Dear LT. Dale C. Allen, sir.
As the American flag in our front yard flapped in the breeze, and as my wife finished the wreaths she makes for every Memorial Day, we had most of what we needed to observe this Memorial Day that just passed. Yet, what your family and we in America needed most would have been to have you and those whose names are inscribed on the Vietnam Memorial Wall with yours to be here as well.
May we never forget the cost of our freedoms, and the men and women who have and continue to step forward to keep America safe.
With respect, sir.
