Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL William Anthony Brown, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Uncle Billy

I was born 10 years after you passed. My father was your younger and only brother. I never met you but you have left a mark on my life. At every family visit to Grandpa's, your image watches over us. At every family gathering, your absence is felt. I wish I could have felt the warmth you would have added to our family. I wonder about how our family would be like today. All I can say is that you are still loved and remembered by those who wish they knew you. Rest in peace and I hope that we meet someday.

My buddy Bill

I still faintly remember my first day of school at the Stottsville elementary school. I know for sure that I didn't want to be their. But I still remember those two Brown brothers, Bobby and Billy. They always had these great smiles on there faces.
On this memorial day 2003, I thank God for all the veterans that gave the ultimate gift for our freedom. God Bless you Billy Brown. I'll never forget you & look forward to you meeting me at those golden gates.
