A Ft. Ord Platoon Mate

Ron and I were in the same AIT platoon in Company H-3-2 at Ft. Ord. Most of us were from California, but Ron and a bunch of guys from Texas were in a group that was sent from Ft. Bliss, TX. They were a blast to be around. The thing I remember most was Ron giving me my first chew of tobacco. Everybody cracked up when I started gagging and turning green. It was all in fun though. I got the news about Ron from one of the Texas guys when we were both stationed at Ft. Carson after VN. Sorry Ron, that you didn't make it back like we did. Rest in Peace my friend.
