We served together
Louis Brown snd I are first cousins. We both are from Arkansas and very close. I arrived in Vietnam on July 13th 1968. Shortly thereafter My Nephew Clifford Jones, snd then Louis Joined me there! I had already been Battle tested, having been wounded when They arrived. I visited the Wall last year and did a rubbing, and I was emotionally moved that I am the only one living out of the 3 to tell the story. I’m still filled with tears in my soul, about the time we both embraced upon his arrival, and that I was the one responsible for his reassignment to Co. D. 1/22 infantry and he would not make it home. We endured many Combat assaults together until I went on R&R never to return. I didn’t know I would never see him again,

Thank You
Dear Cpl Brown,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It is another summer, as time continues to pass since Vietnam. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Louis Brown, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
