honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Always "Greg" - never "Rubert"
Greg, your smile, your laugh will always be in my memory. During the 1 1/2 years of our friendship at the vocational – technical school in Paducah, Ky. we shared many things. Motorcycles, basketball during lunch, trips to Metropolis to “meet girls”, many trips around “The 19th Hole drive in” then up and down Broadway in your 1956 Chevy. Then I went to work and you went off to Murray State in pursuit of a college degree – a degree that never materialized because you got drafted.
I am grateful for your friendship; I cherish the memories of our time together. You honorably served this country my friend and in doing so you paid the ultimate sacrifice.
