Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I miss you

There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of you. To this day I regret not giving you a hug as you left for your mission. But we all know back then “Comanchero’s Didn’t Hug” I have cried so much over loosing you. For years I felt so guilty that I came home and you didn’t. Then I decided to live my life as it was for you. I will never forget you Barry and I hope that we will be Pals again in Heaven…because we both have spent our time in Hell.

thank you

Dear Barry,
I am a senior at Gridley High School and am part of a history
project that helps to make sure that those brave souls who fought
and died during the Vietnam War are not forgotten. Thank you
very much for all that you did for me and our country, sir. You rose
up to the challenge and fought with all of your might. You have
my admiration, and I remember you, Barry Lee Brown, on this
day. God Bless.
