The night he died.

John was at LZ Sandy with C Battery 5/22 Field Artillery. He was killed when the breech blew on his 175 mm gun named Christine. It has taken me many years to locate another person from LZ Sandy to remind me of the names of those that died that horrible night. To John and the others, it may have taken me over thirty years to find you but I will never again forget your name or your memory. Rest in peace bro.
