Thinking of you. Semper Fi, Marine

Its been 45 years. I reported to my new duty station, NAS Millington, TN., on or about 25 June 1968 30 days removed from ITR. A Sgt. Major who was in the rear saw me and came out to the duty desk. He stated that I was 'squared away' and asked what I was doing the next day.

My response, 'Nothing, sir.' I was fitted with dress blue trou and told to report back at 0600 the next morning. My assignment, the burial detail for Cpl. Yarbrough.

I will never forget the events of that day.
