Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The tribute paid by your company commander, Michael Davison, reflects what all Americans feel about your devotion and duty to country. Rest in eternal peace.

Wish I Had Known You Better

Edward, You and your fellow troopers of C Company, 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry of the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) were the finest soldiers a company commander could be privileged to have in his infantry company. You were with us in the Battle for Hue City in February and March 1968. You were with us in early April for that massive air-assault, Operation Pegasus, to help relieve the North Vietnamese Army pressure on the US Marines at Khe Sanh. I rotated home later in April 1968 before Operation Delaware into the NVA sancturaries of the Ashau Valley. Your young life with all it held ended there. I know that you went down fighting for your fellow troopers. We who are still here are the lucky ones. You are missed. As we say and ever will, Garry Owen!

Great Soldier

Very brave and dedicated soldier. He was a part of a team positioned on 4-6 knoll in the ash sha valley to over watch the company as we conducted operations on the valley floor. He and his team did a magnificent job protecting us. He is a true hero and dedicated soldier.
Proud to have served with him in combat.
