Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear Col Blair Wrye, Thank you for your service as an Air Operations Officer. Glad you were identified in 1991. I researched you on that 32nd anniversary. WELCOME HOME. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Colonel Blair Charlton Wryre was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as an Air Operations Officer and was assigned tothe 20TH TAC RECON SQDN, 460TH TAC RECON WING, 7TH Air Force.

Col Blair C Wrye was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroic achievement while engaged in flight during his service in the Korean War where he served as an airborne radar operator. He served in the Vietnam War as a pilot with the 20th Tactical Recon Squadron, 460th Tactical Recon Wing, 7th Air Force.
