we will remember them.....

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Richard Wormdahl, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A Kind Neighbor

I was Dick’s neighbor and was only 10 years old when he left for the war. Even though I was a little kid, he always had time for my siblings and me. He’d join in playing with us and his younger brothers often. I was so sad when I learned of his death. I still think of him often and look forward one day to seeing him in heaven, as I know he loved and served the Lord above all else.

Things I remember

I remember you, form the Kp we shared on the ship, you talking me into going to church with you before we went out to the field. Always a good person to talk to. You told me about your song a tree in the meadow. I was assigned to your squad most of the time. RIP old friend
