My Friend
Charles, I have thought of you often over the years. I got out 5/6/66, and did not learn till later that you had been killed on 5/4/66. I was very saddened to learn of your death, as if a part of me had died also. We lost contact after going through Boot Camp at PI and Geiger together, with different MOS's, you following your path, and I mine. I'm sorry that we weren't able to stay in touch. I really feel bad that yourself and the many others did not make it, and I did, You will always be remembered, never forgotten....Semper Fi, my brother. RIP!!

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Charles William Wooliver, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
