53 years have passed but not the memories
I was sad to hear you were KIA after I rotated back to the world.
You were ready to go, your time was almost done. If you were any other service you would have been home they only did 12 month tours.
My bootcamp bunkie was at the other end KIA11 days in country
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
