honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear Col Patrick Wood, Thank you for your service as a Pilot with the 38th Air Rescue & Recovery Squadron. Thank you for the lives you saved. I researched you on your 92nd birthday, happy birthday. Glad you were identified on Feb. 29, 2016 - WELCOME HOME. Yesterday was Happy Valentine's Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I WORE THE BRACET OF A HERO

Today in a trunk I found the POW/MIA bracelet that I wore all through high school. I never knew the service member until I searched his name today. After reading his story I am proud to have worn his name as he was a true hero giving his life for others.

Thinking of you!

I continue to wear your POW/MIA bracelet. Ann and I corresponded for many years. I enjoyed our "visits" very much. In one of her letters, she included a photograph of you. Since receiving the photograph, it has been displayed w/my original bracelet and ones with the names of your crew in my living room. You are in my thoughts.
