honoring you.....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Robert Wolf, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Valentine's Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering a Wonderful Man, 50 Years Later

The Traveling Vietnam Wall came to a nearby town in Oregon this past weekend. I visited Robert's name two days in a row. My family and I knew him in California before he went to Vietnam. The package I sent him in Vietnam was returned to me. I knew then that something had happened. My family & I were greatly saddened. You are still missed and loved very much Robert. Thank you for your sacrifice. Such a nice sweet soul. Never forgotten.

Night Patrol

My name is David. I was with Robert on a night patrol the night he died. He did not suffer and he perished serving his country. We were in what was called CAG...Combined Action Group, our unit distinction was Alpha 6/9. Our compound was 3 miles south of the Imperial City of Hue and 3 miles north of the Phu Bai Combat Base. The night in question we were attacked on our way back to our compound by a Viet Cong ambush. They threw explosive devices over the hedge row and open fire with automatic weapons. Our squad returned fire defending ourselves until a back up reactionary force could arrive from our compound. We all knew Robert he was a great guy. I still relive that patrol and that night often. It will forever be part of me.
Sincerely
David L. Sage
Corporal. United States Marine Corps
